Lähtökohtani työskentelyyn oli Richard Dawkinsin ajatus kulttuurigeeneistä, meemeistä, jotka kopioivat, mutatoituvat ja pitävät yllä itseään samaan tapaan kuin geenit mutta paljon nopeammin.
My starting point was the idea of Richard Dawkins about the memes, cultural genes, which copy, mutate and reproduce them selves in the same way as the actual genes only a lot faster.
Tekniseksi toteutustavaksi valikoitui PrintGlass -menetelmä.
PrintGlass -method was selected to technical realization.
Jokaisen asunnon ovenpieleen suunnittelin ja toteutin teoksen osan, jonka värimaailmasta, mieliväreistä, keskustelimme asukkaan kanssa.
To the door posts of all the apartments I designed and realized a piece of the work each by discussing its coloursphere, the favorite colours with the future residents. Ovenpielilasit valaistiin valokuiduilla. The glasses at the door posts were lit by fiberoptics.
Suunnittelin ja toteutin valaisimen itse ja ne valaisevat jokaisen ovenpielen erilaisella konstellaatiolla.
I designed and made the light fittings my self and they light all the door posts with a different kind of constellation.
